Most people do not realize that Chili powder contains onion and garlic powder.  A simple substitute would be to find a pure single ingredient chili powder but reduce the amount because using it 1:1 would probably make whatever you are cooking too spicy to eat. This recipe has a variety of flavors that will rival the chili powder in your favorite recipes without the side effects.

Ingredients:

  • ⅛ Cup Sweet Paprika
  • ½ tsp Smoked Paprika (Optional)
  • ½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 ½ tsp Celery Salt
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
Homemade Chili Powder

Directions:

Step 2: Store in a sealed container up to 1 year.
