Served rare with sliced avocado, Yum!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of Ahi Tuna Steaks
  • 2 Limes juiced
  • 2 Tbsp Gluten Free Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp grated Ginger (fresh)
  • 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 
  • ½ Jalapeno Pepper sliced thin
  • ¼ Cup Organic Honey
  • 1 Cup of finely chopped fresh Cilantro
  • 1 Avocado sliced

Ahi Tuna Steak

 

Directions:

Step 1:  Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper.

Step 2: Combine lime juice, soy sauce, ginger, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, jalapeno, agave and cilantro in a bowl add salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3: Heat a cast iron skillet to medium high heat until very hot.   Add 2 T Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Place tuna steaks in skillet for 1 -2 minutes until you have a good sear.  Flip steaks and spoon ½ of the marinade over the steaks while second side is searing.  Cook to desired internal temperature. Most tuna steaks are served rare.

Step 4: Plate tuna and spoon more of the marinade over the steaks and serve with the avocado slices.
